FAQ

Practical buying answers before the team starts setup.

This FAQ is built for commercial review, not filler SEO copy. It covers product fit, rollout posture, billing, security, and support so a serious buyer can move forward with fewer unknowns.

Question bank

Grouped by the decision the buyer is making

Product fit

What does MarginPilot actually do?

MarginPilot helps Shopify and Stripe merchants run a more structured dispute workflow with explainable decision support, net-recovery awareness, and clear monthly billing.

Is this only for high-volume merchants?

No. The product is most useful once repeated dispute work starts taking meaningful operator time, even if the team is still relatively lean.

Do you offer a free trial?

Not currently. Instead, buyers can review pricing, ROI, workflow pages, security posture, billing transparency, policies, and FAQ content before starting setup.

Onboarding and rollout

Do we need live Shopify or Stripe credentials before we can evaluate fit?

No. MarginPilot starts with a lower-friction risk-scan flow so the team can evaluate provider fit, rollout path, and budget justification before deeper authorization steps.

When is a merchant considered ready for production activation?

Production-grade activation is only treated as ready after provider authorization and billing proof are both present in the system of record.

Can my team still review cases manually?

Yes. Human review and override remain available so operators keep control while the workflow becomes more structured and auditable.

Billing and policy

How is billing handled?

MarginPilot currently uses clear monthly plan pricing. Checkout and subscription management run through Paddle, and buyers can review billing transparency before purchase.

Can I cancel before the next renewal?

Yes. Cancellation can happen before the next billing date to stop future recurring charges, subject to the published refund and billing policies.

Do you guarantee recovery, win-rate, or savings outcomes?

No. MarginPilot can help teams improve workflow quality, visibility, and net-recovery discipline, but it does not guarantee financial outcomes.

Security and access

How should our team think about security posture today?

Think in terms of staged trust: public pages are separate from protected merchant routes, activation is explicitly gated, billing is handled on a dedicated external surface, and support remains reachable through a monitored inbox.

Do you claim formal security certifications on the public site?

Not on the current public site. MarginPilot intentionally avoids claiming certifications that are not yet formally published and reviewable.

Can finance or security reviewers inspect the product before purchase?

Yes. Pricing, billing transparency, privacy, terms, refund handling, security posture, FAQ, and customer-story framework pages are all public and crawlable.

Support

Who should contact MarginPilot if billing, privacy, or rollout questions come up?

Use the public support contact path. It is designed to route billing, privacy, and launch-stage product questions to a monitored inbox.

Do I have to book a demo to understand the product?

No. A guided demo is available, but the public site is designed so serious buyers can review pricing, workflow, ROI, billing, FAQ, and trust materials before scheduling a call.

Still need a guided walkthrough?

The public site is meant to answer most buying questions before a call. If your team still needs a coordinated walkthrough after reviewing pricing, security, billing, and the FAQ, book a demo and bring the open questions with you.
